Ski tour up to Speikkogel from the Salzstieglhaus
The tour starts at the parking Salzstieglhaus and first follows the ski slope Rosseben Abfahrt up to the Salzstiegl windmill. It then ascends directly to the visible Speikkogel plateau. Given good snow conditions, the tour can be extended furhter westwards first to the Hofalmkogel, then further to the Weißenstein and then finally to the Ameringkogel. The descend is following the ascending route whereas the last part is a very nice slope back to the ski area.

| 00:00 | The tour starts at the parking Salzstieglhaus (GPS: 47.067910, 14.871369) and first follows the ski slope Rosseben Abfahrt upwards (southwest). |
| 00:35 | At the end of the slope and next to the windmill, keep right and follow the trail beside the forest up to the visible peak of Speikkogel. |
| 01:10 | Enjoy the view from the Speikkogel summit cross. The real peak however is a few meters further west. |
| 01:25 | At the peak of Speikkogel, prepare your skis (remove the skin). Downhill on the same route as used for the ascent. |
| 01:40 | Enjoy the ride. Downhill on the same route as used for the ascent. You might bypass the summit cross (keep left) to only descent. |
| 02:00 | Back at the parking Salzstieglhaus, end of the tour. |
