Enjoyment tour up to the Stoa Alm starting from Mönichkirchen via Gasthof Fernblick (Mariensee)
This easy plaisir tour starts at the parking of the ski resort Mönichkirchen (valley station) and follows the marked trail (Alpannonia®) first towards Mönichkirchner Schwaig (mountain station of the ski-lift), and then follows the forest road northwestwards towards Mariensee. After a break at Gasthaus Fernblick, the tour then follows forest trails and direct routes along the cable car and the ski slope upwards towards the Hallerhaus, and finally towa4rds the Stoa Alm. The tour then follows the ski slope back to the valley and the parking.
Tour Description
| 00:00 | Start at the parking of ski resort Mönichkirchen (GPS: 47.513336, 16.029120) and first follow the street westwards. |
| 00:05 | At the crossing, leave the street and follow the hiking trail at the right hand-side just above the ski slope (see marks with the red Alpannonia® logo) leading towards Alpengasthof Enzian. |
| 00:35 | Pass by north the Alpengasthof Enzian and follow the forest road towards Gasthof Fernblick. |
| 01:00 | Well deserved break () at Gasthof Fernblick. Enjoy the panoramic view from there. |
| 01:50 | Follow the unmarked trail westwards after crossing the cable car track. |
| 02:00 | At the crossing, do a U-turn and follow the trail southwards (up). |
| 02:10 | Turn right and hike up along the cable car track to the next forest road above. |
| 02:11 | Turn left and follow the forest road which crosses two ski slopes ( Pay attention in winter as the first ski slope is a black steep one). |
| 02:20 | At the crossing, stay straight but slightly right and follow the forest road / ski slope southeastwards. |
| 02:30 | At the crossing, do a U-turn and follow the ski slope westwards towards Hallerhaus. |
| 02:40 | Pass by the Hallerhaus and continue following the ski slope towards Stoa Alm. |
| 02:55 | Well deserved break ( ) at Stoa Alm. |
| 03:55 | Hike back via the red-white-red marked trail towards Hallerhaus. |
| 04:10 | Now follow the ski slopes back into the valley. |
| 04:30 | Well deserved break () at the Berggasthof Mönichkirchner Schwaig. |
| 05:00 | Follow the ski slope downwards back to the valley station. |
| 05:30 | Back at the parking of Mönichkirchen. End of the tour. |
