Climb the Hohe Wand through the Leitergraben and then traverse towards Hubertushaus using the Steirerspur (C) via ferrata
The tour starts at the parking Zweiersdorf / Neue-Welt Strasse (GPS: 47.807727, 16.037944) – opposite of Gasthof Mohr – and first follows the road a few meters southwards before turning right and then follow the trail towards Leitergraben. The Leitergraben starts steep and slippery but then becomes easier and interesting. The exposed parts are well protected with iron cables. After crossing a wooden bridge, the trail ascends and at the crossing, turn left to follow the trail towards Hubertushaus. Shortly before the Hubertushaus, stay close to the ridge and traverse using the Steirerspur. This via ferrata is fun, but not easy to find. It first descends (A/B), then traverses (B, B/C) before it finally ascends at the crux (C) back to Hubertushaus. After a break, the tour continues westwards to the highest point of the Hohe Wand, the Plackles. The descend is following the Pfarrersteig which leads towards Seiser Toni and then back to Zweiersdorf.

| 00:03 | At the (first) crossing, turn right and follow the street (“Forststraße”) northways. |
| 00:10 | At the crossing, keep straight ahead and follow the trail upwards. |
| 00:15 | Again, keep straight ahead and then left at the crossing and follow the forest road upwards. |
| 00:18 | At the crossing, again keep straight ahead and follow the upper trail (left hand-side). |
| 00:20 | Turn left into the small trail (follow the markings!). |
| 00:26 | Turn left into the Leitergraben and follow the steep trail upwards. |
| 00:40 | After crossing the bridge, stay straight ahead (do not mix up with the Leitergrabengrat (UIAA II+)). |
| 00:55 | At the crossing, keep straight ahead and follow the trail up towards Hubertushaus (follow the signposts). |
| 01:15 | Look out for the entry of Steierspur (not marked!). You will see a iron cable descending at the ridge! Make sure it is the one further away from Hubertushaus. Put on your via ferrata set and follow the Steirerspur. |
| 01:40 | At the crossing in the via ferrata, turn right and follow the steep part upwards (which is also the crux). The ferrata ends shortly before Hubertushaus. |
| 01:45 | Turn left and head towards Hubertushaus. |
| 01:50 | Well deserved refreshment break () at Hubertushaus. |
| 02:05 | Follow the trail NORTH-westwards (the upper one!) up to Turmsteighütte. The trail is marked with red hearts. |
| 02:10 | At the crossing, turn left and pass by the Turmsteighütte. Follow the trail towards Eicherthütte. |
| 02:25 | Well deserved break ( ) at Eicherthütte. |
| 02:55 | Follow the trail / forest street westwards (keep right) towards Plackles. |
| 03:10 | At the Plackles, turn left and follow the Pfarrersteig trail downwards. |
| 03:30 | Make sure you take the marked trail on the right hand-side and follow the marked trail downwards. |
| 03:45 | At the crossing, keep straight ahead and follow the trail for a few meters till reaching a forest road. |
| 03:46 | Turn left into the forest road and take the lower (keep right) forest road towards Seiser Toni. |
| 03:55 | Turn left, pass by Seiser Toni and follow the road eastwards. Always keep straight ahead (becomes a trail) till reaching the next forest road. |
| 04:05 | Turn right and follow the forest street eastwards. At the crossing, keep straight (keep left) and continue following the road. |
| 04:15 | At the crossing, right into the trail (Springlessteig) and follow the trail downwards. |
| 04:25 | At the crossing, turn left and follow the forest street towards Zweiersdorf. |
| 04:35 | At the crossing, turn right and follow the road downwards towards the parking. |
| 04:40 | Back at the parking, end of the tour. |
