Easy and short tour through the “Vorderkaserklamm”
The tour starts at the parking next to the “Jausenstation Vorderkaser” (GPS 47.520226, 12.705699) which can be reached by following a small road next to a river after passing “St. Martin bei Lofer”. There is a small maintenance / entrance fee to pay but given the effort to repair the wooden bridge every year, it is absolutely worth it. After crossing the river via a bridge, a short steep trail starts leading towards the gorge entrance. Follow the wooden bridge that leads through the gorge and then the wooden stairs to the highest point of this tour. The trail then leads downwards back to the parking.
The tour is fairly easy and the trail is mostly in the shadow (rarely sun exposed). Thus the tour is great for a hot summer day and absolutely suitable for children.
This tour is great to be combined with the Saalachtaler Naturgewalten which combines the Vorderkaserklamm, the Seisenbergklamm and the Lamprechtshöhle. If you consider to do all of them, buy a combi ticket for €12,00 (adults) or €7,00 (children) to save money.

| 00:10 | At the first crossing, turn right towards the entrance of the gorge. |
| 00:12 | Follow the wooden bridge and stairs that leads through the gorge. |
| 00:20 | At the end of the gorge follow the trail downwards to the parking lot. |
| 00:30 | Lunch / Break: Recharge your energy and reflect the impressions at the Jausenstation Vorderkaser. |
